My professional name is Marcus JB and I have been writing songs since 2010 spontaneously, often inspired by the artists I listen to.
On this section of the website, songs with vocals include Tell Me, which proved very popular with younger listeners; 4 Days with an altogether more serious theme of loss, influenced by Adele; Lottery celebrates the life and talent of Amy Winehouse, while Empty Beaches is inspired by the songs of Elton John.
Three songs for which I have written words but are presented here without vocals include I Just Don’t Know, inspired by Chris Martin singing solo in concert, while I was moved to write Don’t Stop after listening to Ellie Goulding. I Gave My All is heavily influenced by Madonna’s ballads.
